BN never learn, does it?

It is not that they love PKR or PAS more that they voted against me. The Chinese showed their resentment because of the economic backlash they often complained about. So, PAS and PKR should not be overly proud of their win (in Kedah). The people may have to pay a price for their decision.
Despite the loss, the BN politicians are still threatening Malaysians.
As I was sitting in front of the TV, watching the election results coming in, I was amused to see the commentators in TV looking shock and uttering in disbelief the drastic losses by the BN. Even the BN politicians look disbelief and resorted to have “special” post-mortem as to why BN had the worse defeat in history.
For me, the reasons for the BN’s loss was so clear on the wall, so much so, the various defeats & lost of majority counts of the big guns in the BN was expected from far. Now that MIC, MCA, PPP and Gerakan (the major losers this time around) want to sit down and dissect the reasons behind the lost, it is little wonder whether they will find it – moreover when the “reasons” been clear even before the election.
Take an example of MIC – Samy Vellu was so boastful of an easy win and continued to discredit Hindraf and the call for fight for Indian rights. He thought the Indians will remain stupid and “living in caves” to know what’s really happening in the country. He thought the Sungai Siput seat was already in the pocket before the voters went out for voting.

He must have thought that he will have a great birthday party cum celebration party and when BN has been declared as having two third majority in the Parliament, he can hold Pak Lah’s hands and say “Indians are still with MIC and BN – Makkal Sakthi is rubbish”. In the end, Makkal Sakthi buried MIC for good.
So, why did BN lost heavily this time around? To sum up, the reason can be described in one word – “ARROGANCE”
Having hold of the country for the past 50 years, the ruling party have become nothing but spoilt & arrogant and in light of Malaysians Malaysia, they continued to fire up racial uneasiness and divide & rule concept. Of course, Pak Lah’s “sleeping” skills and his tendency to let the country to run on “auto-pilot” quicken the call for change. And on 8th of March, the Malaysians did just that.
Let’s recap just some of incidents where being arrogant against Malaysians was the settled fashion of the ruling party:-
Tear Gas & Water Cannon against peaceful rally such as BERSIH & HINDRAF (Probably the ultimate act against Hindraf is when the children rallied to hand over roses to the PM – they were thrashed out by the police as if they were carrying something dangerous)
Demolishment of 100 year old Indian temples and high-handed treatment on the devotees who protested (The Selangor State Government is well know for this tactics – thanks to them, the state now fell to the opposition)
Clear act of mismanagement & corruption but no action taken against the officials (Pak Lah all talk about fighting corruption was as clear as a bullshit when nothing was done against the AP Queen Rafidah and the Port Klang Free Zone fiasco)
Treating the Malaysians as irrelevant when it came to toll hike protest (The Government was bent in showing that they are the boss and the people are the servants when the Government brushed aside the call for review of the toll agreements. Samy Vellu had a cheek to threaten Malaysians with OSA – he ended getting whacked in this election)
Threatening Malaysians whenever the Government is clearly at fault and being forced to response (Just before the election, unnecessary threats against Indians and Chinese were made. Threats against Malays have been on-going earlier. Of course, this is something additional to the usual threats of revoking the citizenship and sending back the Indians to India and the Chinese to China. Malaysians decided to revoke the “MP membership” of many BN politicians this time around)
Telling Malaysians that the Government does not need the support of the Non-Malays to continue to be in power (ya, thanks for advice, in this election, the support from the Non Malays swing-ed to the opposition and presented them with 4 extra states)
Lavish purchases and wastages of public funds (Do we really need to send a tourist to the space? Do the PM really need to buy a new yatch and plane? Does he really need to go for “non work related” overseas trips now and then?)
Little Napoleons let loose and create havoc (We all know by now that the Zakaria “Palace” still remains standing – what more you need?)

So, let’s not waste time with the BN wanting to “reinvent” itself – Samy Vellu looks like will remain with MIC (good luck MIC! That spells death to MIC). Let’s work with the opposition and get Malaysia back on its track. We have wasted time and resources with arrogant people till now.

Glad to see him lost in the elections and he deserved the lost. He does not deserve any single vote from the Rakyat. Hopefully there will be no another Samy to sit in the Work minister post. Get lost Samy !!
My wife waited whole nite to see Samy lost. Wifey was very upset when she knew there was a recount ‘cos there is chance Samy might do something dirty. Wifey jumped for joy when Samy lost. Let’s hope Samy will not be made a senator and come back as a minister to haunt us.
We are not telling them to perform the Hara-kiri, but after performing so badly they should, especially MIC leader Samyvellu, resign as President gracefully, even Pak Lah should resign and leave way for Najib to take over, at least Ong Ka Ting was brave enough to say he will not accept Cabinet appointment. We middle aged Malaysians are not racist; we know we have to live together and work together and survive together for no one race in Malaysia is indispensable. I personally had the biggest shock of my life was when, as a polling agent in a booth in Klang, where two Indians (DAP) Parliament/state, were contesting against two Chinese (BN), saw a elderly Malay gentlemen cast his vote for DAP. The Ballot box being transparent and when the ballot was cast inside it flipped open allowing me to see the result. In fact there were several ballots in view and of course there was a mixture of results but the one cast by the Malay gentle men was already an indication to me that Malaysian are voting as Malaysians. There were so many incidences in Malaysia where the concerned politicians should have committed Hara-kiri, but for this shamed performance they must.
Good riddance Semi Value!!! Lets spit on him if we get to see him walking on the street! Thanks to him and BN, that we are now paying high toll fares, and it’s going to increase further more in the future…
MCA, UMNO, Gerakan, MIC, etc, have said to dissect the cause of loss in the election “sincerely”. How come nobody feels they are sincere when they said that, when we all knew they already know the reasons behind all along… Unless if they are really so blind and insensitive towards the real scenario, then, they are bound for another greater defeat in the next election.
How come it gives me a feeling that Ong Ka Ting is a fake & jerk when he said MCA is going to continue what they have been doing to “serve” the Chinese community? Unless he wants MCA to be denied again by the people in the next General Election, he should not continue doing what has proven unwelcomed by the Chinese community. If there is something he wants to hear something from the people, here it is, “Please stop BEGGING from UMNO! DEMAND for what we deserve, and what already should be ours’ at the beginning!”
Ong Ka Ting has proven to be a much better MCA leader and more liked by the Chinese community, compared to the previous Ling Leong Sik. However, if he continues to treat the Chinese as ignorant fools, one day the Chinese will turn against him, when we have fed up with all the basic issues piled up unsolved, but with Ong still shouting “We have done so, so and so much for the Chinese!!” He has to solve the root problem, not just become a puppet for UMNO.

I dont think so Samy want to leave the party. Till now he is the only party president, still want to be president and do more damages to Indian and to himself too. Why cant he leave the party to his deputy?
Opposition can only ignore Indian votes at their own peril
– Indian vote bank the Achilles Heel in a two-party system

Indian votes play the Kingmaker role in Peninsular Malaysia, not Chinese or Malay votes although there is a lot of talk about Chinese and Malay dissatisfaction. The Indians have been conveniently forgotten by the instant pundits-plagued media, again. The Chinese and Malay Opposition are just jumping on the bandwagon of Indian dissatisfaction and adding their own petty issues which detract from the core issue in the just concluded General Elections: Indian dissatisfaction with the BN. There is nothing the Chinese and Malay Opposition can do on their own without the support of Indian voters. Just as easily the Opposition won five states in Peninsular Malaysia, they can lose them again at the next General Elections if the Indians defect to the BN. That’s why Samy Vellu has pledged to stay on as MIC president and continue to soldier on. He knows. He knew. Even know, he’s plotting the destruction of the Opposition day and night.
It is not the Indians alone that are dissatisfied with the BN Government. Others are dissatisfied too. The difference is that the votes of the Others cannot make even an iota of difference at the polls against the might of the BN without the votes of the Indians. An Indian vote in a marginal constituency is worth its weight in gold compared with a non-Indian vote in an ethnic-majority constituency.
If the BN wants to win back the sizeable Indian votes in the 64 Parliamentary seats (BN obtained the Indian votes in only three Parliamentary seats), it must not touch the following in a negative way: Hindu temples; Tamil schools; and Tamil language.
It must not allow the Civil Courts to compromise the Federal Constitution by bending over backwards to accommodate Syariah Court rulings in an adverse manner against non-Muslims.
No snatching of non-Muslim corpses by claiming that they had secretly converted to Islam by reciting something in front of some people on their deathbed.
No bringing in foreign workers, legal and illegal, at the expense of Malaysians. Depressing local wages by using foreigners is also unacceptable.
The BN Government must rein in the Malay Police who are brutally engaged in a long running war with Indian youths. So many Indian youths have been beaten blue and black in police custody, and even killed, for no other reason other than their race. Has even one extra-judicial killing been investigated and the guilty punished?
The BN Government must make efforts to Malaysianise the Malay Police, the Malay Civil Service, the Malay Judiciary and the Malay Teaching Service. What will become of the Lingam tapes? There must be substance in the follow-up, not just form and cosmetics.
The BN Government must ensure that equal rights, as guaranteed by the Federal Constitution, are respected and honoured. Don’t drag in the question of special privileges (for the Umnoputras certainly) to deny equal rights to all.
The System must be for all, not just for some people. Contradictions, deviations, discrepancies and hijacking of the system must be eliminated. Government created opportunities must be made available to all, without fear or favour, and not just for some people only. There must be no discrimination or quota systems. The NEP, instituted in the name of the Bumiputera masses and the poor and socio-engineering, must go because it has been abused and abused enough time and time again to enrich the Umnoputras at the expense of all.
The Malaysian Prime Minister must behave as a Prime Minister for all races and not just for the Malays. He should never tell Indians to go and see some stooge of an Indian community leader when they have grievances to discuss with him. One day Badawi says he has big ears and the next day he refuses to meet with Hindraf leaders.
The Malaysian Prime Minister must stop saying things like: Melayu mesti buat ini, Melayu mesti buat it, Melayu mesti buat ini and itu, Agenda Melayu, ketuanan Melayu, perjuangan Melayu yang belum selesai, Melayu Baru, Islam Hadhari, incorporation of Islamic values, the Islamic state, the Social Contract etc. These are things that should be raised by Malay community leaders and not the Malaysian Prime Minister.
The BN, Umno in particular, must stop bribing Indian community leaders with some crumbs to betray the community.
The BN must not insist on the MIC being the sole representative of the Indian community in the Barisan Nasional.
Finally, the Opposition can only ignore the Indian community at their own peril. Don’t take the community for granted and become complacent and rest on your laurels. Anwar Ibrahim is no magician. This man has never impressed me. He’s a shallow intellectual and political chameleon – Chandra Muzzafar is right – who jumped on the Hindraf phenomenon (makkal sakthi or people power) and did very well for the Opposition. He must be laughing himself to death at the utter stupidity of the BN leaders in handling the Hindraf issue just as he was laughing himself to death when he effortlessly went from ABIM leader to Deputy Prime Minster although he made a mess of every Ministry he headed and would have made a mess of the economy too in 1998 had not Mahathir stepped in and sacked him. Let the Indians have their rightful place in the sun or witness Malaysian politics going into a long period of uncertainty, swinging from one extreme to another, and finally degenerating into chaos, instability and economic ruin.
The Bumiputera community was the excuse for the NEP in 1970 in the wake of the searing Sino-Malay race riots of 13 May 1969. Today, the Bumiputeras have nothing more than the proverbial shirt on their back and have turned to Islam in solace. They were used and thoroughly used again and again since 1970 as an excuse to enrich a privileged few, most of whom have since gone bankrupt and bankrupted quite a number of state institutions too.
The Opposition, in power in five states, should not make the same mistake with the Indian community which has put them where they are now. True, Others supported too. But their votes would have meant nothing at all against the might of the BN without the golden Indian votes, the deciding factor. Just look at the way the votes went in the just-concluded 12th General Election. However, the BN has been wise enough not to publicly blame Indian voters for their electoral debacle.

Samy is an arrogant bastard. What has he got to say now? I couldn’t stand him when I was growing up in Malaysia and even more now. He doesn’t want anything to do with the Indians but wants to be the Indian leader! My ass! Corruption investigations should take place soon. Every dog has it’s day and this dog got his day with it’s tail between his legs!
