IPF – at crossroads

(Crossroads – which path to take now? Image source:

From theStar today:-

The Indian Progressive Front (IPF) has no intention of joining Pakatan Rakyat, its acting president Puan Sri Jayashree Pandithan said.

Jayashree said IPF would continue to perform the duties and responsibilities to the Indian community in the country.

“I believe MIC president Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu would not have any objections to our request to be admitted into the ruling coalition,” she said.

Just a question for the good Puan Sri:-

If IPF is not joining Pakatan Rakyat but at the same time is not allowed to join Barisan (thanks to Uncle Sam) and still want to help the community, isn’t better for the party to close shop and start working as a NGO?

Once upon a time, there was not one to fight MIC on issues relating to Indians other than IPF (led by the late Pandithan) but now, with Pakatan Rakyat with multi colored representatives, it is a whole new ball game for IPF & MIC.
