If the Government is intent on reducing the petrol price – due to world fuel price (and not because Anwar is getting “closer” to the Parliament?), it is certainly good news for the people.
But here’s the fucked up part – where is the control to minimize the leakages of fuel subsidy? All the talks of imposing fuel at market price for foreigners, stricter controls on fuel smuggling; cost cutting measures (Terengganu’s purchase of brand new Mercedes Benz did not help) remain a cheap talk by politicians?
And are we still going to bleed RM2 billion in fuel subsidy to foreigners?
There is more bad news than good news…
