(Water disruptions and people queuing up to get water from public tanks – do we need this at this age where we have enough rain & raw water to be channelled to water treatment plant? Image source; NST)

You know how pissed off I was last Tuesday?

I was driving back from work – it was raining rather very heavily and some parts of the road were even flooded. I reached home and the rain have not stopped and found that the tap was still dry. It has been 4 days since the water supply was disrupted. Something does not add up, doesn’t it?

Water Disruption 2019: We Want Names & Resignations!

water disruption

Water disruptions due to illegal dumping should not be happening in the developed state like the State of Selangor and yet we continue to get such incidents every year. Obviously there is a serious lack of enforcement and not taking strong actions to curtail illegal dumping. Image source: The Star

We just had a major water disruption 3 months ago when on September 23, it was closed due to contamination from Sungai Lalang near the Semenyih Hitech area, and a day earlier, it was shut down due to contamination believed to be from an illegal factory along Jalan Sungai Lalang.

Why We Still Rolling Out the Red Carpet to These Terrorists?

terrorist

In a galaxy far, far away, these rebels including the beautiful Princess Leia would have been tagged as terrorists in the eyes of the Empire. I am sure many would protest. So what defines someone as a terrorist? Someone who been brainwashed with twisted interpretation of religion and race and kills innocent people? Or is it someone who has taken up an armed resistance to a rogue occupation or an evil dictator? Image source: Starwars.com.

Time to Treat Water Pollution as Terrorist Attack!!

pollution

Water pollution & water disruption to consumers is not new – the above was back in October 2016 when it was discovered that a toxic solvent had been dumped into a tributary of a river that flows into the Sungai Semenyih water treatment plant. Earlier this month, the plant was shut down due to “odor pollution”.

On Sept 23, it was closed due to contamination from Sungai Lalang near the Semenyih Hitech area, and a day earlier, it was shut down due to contamination believed to be from an illegal factory along Jalan Sungai Lalang. Image source: The Star

Considering how water pollution is causing hardship to the consumers in this country and the level of punishment is not enough to stop pollution from recurring (and causing water supply disruptions), we need to treat all these polluters as terrorists and water pollution in particular as a determined terrorist attack.

Firefighter Adib Tragedy: The Verdict is Out

Adib

(Adib’s death – is this supposed to be the result of temple going, God fearing devotees? Why there was danger to fire fighters when the peace loving devotees suppose to help the fire fighters to do their job? Photo Source: NST)

It was a tragedy that should not have ever happened to a fire fighter

Who is in sound mind would have wanted to injured (in this case killed) a fire fighter rushing in to put a fire? Only a senseless evil person would have wanted to do that. Coroner’s Court on last Friday after 41 days of inquest proceeding concluded that the death of the fireman was due to “two or more persons unknown”

We need to buy more of this excellent fire bomber in the near future – wild fires & man made fires is expected to compound the environment for many years to come. And given the source of haze is from Indonesia, they need to have more fire bombers in their inventory.

It is becoming unbearable in the last few days – the quality of air in the country especially within the Klang Valley.

Faulty Takata Airbags & Refusal of Road Tax Renewal

Read these first:-

(Go buy a Proton instead – compared to a “more value for money” brands like Honda, Toyota, Nissan, BMW, Proton is using airbags from Autoliv from Sweden which does not have the same problem as Takata from Japan and is more reliable. Image source: LA Times)

One particular night a few weeks ago, I was driving back from work – the weather was good and the traffic was not so bad.

In front of me, a fairly new Toyota Vios – it has the rear lights working and I did not suspect anything. Then I noticed something amiss. Whenever the traffic slows down, I don’t see any brake lights lighting up from the Toyota Vios. Both the main brake lights and the third brake light were not working. So, when this driver slams his brakes and if you are at the back and you been driving too close, you will not know that the car in front had slowed down – you will likely to rear-end the idiot in front.

It has been raining cats and dogs lately…

It was raining heavily when I went to work one fine morning – I predicted an increased traffic jam due to the rain and a couple of morons speeding and changing lane without any indicators during the heavy rain. I switched on the wipers and immediately I noticed something not right. It was squeaking and as the wipers goes up and down, it started to bend considerably.
