Duty vs Moral

I watched Black Hawk Down recently and despite the low projection of Malaysians’’ involvement in the rescue (what did you expect?); the movie was overall detailed enough to how a simple mission went awry and end up becoming commander’s worst nightmare.

19 US soldiers died in the mission gone awry but there were many who managed to do their job well – defending their comrades or taking part in the rescue mission.… [Click to read the rest] “Duty vs Moral”

Mumbai Massacre: Stories of Heroes

(Taj under seize! Image source: Financial Times)

Read this and tell me you are not impressive with the kind of sacrifices that people do to protect others under their care:-

Prashant Mangeshikar could be dead, one of more than a hundred victims of militant attacks across Mumbai landmarks, if it had not been for an employee at the Taj Mahal Hotel.

Hero of the Year

(My pick for the hero of the year – image source: Reader Digest)

When our own hero is in dire need of help, America is voting for its hero. Click for details.

My favourite:-

Contrast this with home grown politicians who are busy preaching racist concepts called “Ketuanan Melayu” and disregards the talent and the skills of the best just because the person is not a Bumiputera.… [Click to read the rest] “USA: Best One Wins!”

RPK & Alizee

(Cool songs antidote for depressing days. Singer Alizee – image source: http://www.biggeststars.com)

It does not look too good…

Raja Petra been sent to Kamunting for 2 years (ya, this time the Baldy was “man” enough to admit it), the circus is still much in power (with Sleepy still in the pilot’s seat), Anwar delayed his deadline (until when, no one is sure but the longer he delays, the more he loses the momentum), the fuel remains high (when the international is going down) and good days are yet to be seen.… [Click to read the rest] “RPK & Alizee”

You would have noticed by now – there have been many minor but important changes to this blog.

I was inspired to make the changes by this post by Problogger. I had Problogger in my RSS Reader for some time now and despite the good tips and methods, I rarely read them.… [Click to read the rest] “Improvements & Inspiration”

Political Circus, Once Again

It has been tiring in the last few day…

To summarize the last few day, let me recap what Marina Mahathir has wrote in her blog:-

I don’t know about you guys but I really can’t keep up anymore with what’s happening. With all these endless statutory declarations, police report after police report, statements hither and thither, I can’t get any of it straight anymore.
