Well, since the Malays have done it (Anwar Ibrahim and Shabery on the fuel price hike) and the Chinese have done it (Lim Guan Eng and Koh Tsu Koon on land scam issue in Penang), the Indians might as well have a go at this debate thing.
From YB Kulasegaran’s blog:-
We would say that it is the high tide for MIC president Datuk Seri S Samy Vellu and YB M. Kulasegaran, the DAP MP for Ipoh Barat to meet face to face too discuss further on the prolonging and disconcerted issue of the Maika Holdings in an open debate.
Will Samy Vellu have the “balls” to accept the challenge and debate and set the issue of Maika to rest for once and for all?
After all, with the whacking that MIC got in the last general election and the Maika issue been synonymous with MIC’s fishy deals, an open debate is one best opportunity to explain things (if Samy says everything was done by the book?).
Of course, there are others who say that such debate is a waste of time – a comment from Malaysia Today:-
Whatever debate that take place with regards to Maika Holdings would not bring back the RM invested at that time back. By today’s calculations, that figure could come to a colossal figure.
The government never did nail him for what he did though they knew and hence, he would never admit it, more so, in a public debate.
Let’s just focus on PR Government and we can find all these rascals and give them what they rightfully deserve
Samy, will you?
Haiyah Samy won’t come la.. the steel man doesn’t have any balls. Period.
There has been nothing but silence from MIC on this issue…
