The fact is there has been an attempt by the Philippines to use the Sulu Sultanate’s claim that it always owned the state of Sabah to lay its claim on the state. Whilst it is a fact that the Sulu Sultanate owned Sabah at one point in history, the same cannot be said now. However, be very mindful that the young voters are more tech-savvy, educated, well aware of the constraints & abuses of race and religion in their future development and are indeed quite concerned about the direction of the nation. The question is how attractive the current political parties are to these new voters.
