Enforcement 101: When Perak Pakatan Rakyat Defend Criminals

perak speaker pakatan rakyat

(It is already bad for Pakatan Rakyat politicians for already losing the State of Perak no thanks to self-centred frogs, do you want to lose the support of the people too ah? Stop supporting the criminals otherwise, you will never gain the trust of the people. Image source: Malaysiakini)

Read These First:-

I almost choked on my afternoon tea when I read this:-

Perak Pakatan Rakyat is prepared to challenge the Road Transport Department (RTD) in court if vehicle owners are prevented from renewing their road tax after being blacklisted by the police for not settling speeding tickets from 2000 to 2009.

I wonder who came up with this brilliant idea – must have been another idiot with a lot of outstanding summons.

There are certain things you can do to get votes for the next elections but there is always a limit. And one of them is that you don’t go all out to protect the criminals, in this case, stubborn road offenders, just to get some votes. That is very wrong and certainly is not popular with the rest of us, the rule-abiding road users.

Instead of wanting to bring the issue to the court and end up looking like a fool, these Perak Pakatan Rakyat politicians should ask these buggers who been blacklisted, what offence they have committed and have they paid up the long outstanding summons. These buggers should not be let off free from the offence that they have committed. They should be made to pay what is due. Who asked them to sleep on the outstanding summons for so long? Who asked them to commit a traffic offence in the first place?

I just hope that Perak Pakatan Rakyat politicians will find the wisdom to realise that what they are proposing now is nothing short of being foolhardy, stupid and simply ridiculous. Otherwise, it will be a blessing in disguise for Perak to be taken over by BN who is doing a better job in trying to book down these road offenders.

We don’t protect the criminals and certainly, we will not waste time-fighting out for them in the courts. Let them pay their due as prescribed by the law. Hopefully, they will be less menace to others on the road.

Motorists in Perak who have been barred from renewing their road tax due to saman ekor – a summons notice for speeding, illegal parking or summonses where police could not stop the offenders – can seek legal advice from Perak Pakatan.

Those interested could do so at the state PAS office at Medan Istana here, said Pasir Panjang assemblyman Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin, who is also Perak PAS deputy commissioner.

Lawyer Asmuni Awi said a panel of lawyers set up to look into the issue would file an application at the High Court here to seek a declaration that the police action of issuing saman ekor was null and void, unconstitutional and unenforceable.

“Since the court process will take some time, my advice to vehicles owners is to check on their summons status before their road tax is due to expire,” Asmuni, who is Perak PAS election director, added.

Whatever decision by the High Court later would be binding throughout the country, he said.

It was reported last week that the police had issued more than 10 million saman ekor since 2000.
