The API in the last 2 days have been bad so much so, schools in Selangor have been closed for the past week. It is even worse in Sarawak:-

A total of 1,037 schools in 20 districts affected by the worsening haze situation in Sarawak were ordered to close Friday (Sept 20). The state education department said the closure involved 136 secondary schools and 901 primary schools, affecting 325,391 students.

Meanwhile, the state disaster management (JPBN) secretariat in a statement said as of 8am today, Sri Aman recorded hazardous Air Pollutant Index (API) reading of 402.

And the flight operations have also been disrupted:-

A total of six flights to and from the Sultan Azlan Shah Airport here have been called off due to the haze, affecting almost 800 passengers on Friday (Sept 20).

Three flights into the Sultan Azlan Shah Airport here in the morning were cancelled.

Airport general manager Mohd Ali Osman said two AirAsia flights and one from Scoot, which were scheduled to touch down here between 9am and 12.50pm, were grounded.

He said two of the flights were from Singapore, while another was from Johor Baru.
