However, this is not a question of luxury but a necessity given the demands of the growing population. It is a basic need of everyone. This is why it is very important to plan & manage these natural resources well.

Environment 101: Understanding Malaysia’s 2016 Positive Greenhouse Gas Emission Edge

Global Forest Watch reported that from 2002 to 2020, Malaysia had lost about 2.70Mha (around 27,000 square kilometres) of humid primary forest which in turn impacts the greenhouse gases emission.

This amounts to 34% of the total tree cover loss in the same 20 years. Interestingly this also amounted to a loss of 8.39Mha (around 84,000 square kilometres) of tree cover, equivalent to a 29% decrease in tree cover since 2000 and 4.82Gt of CO₂e emissions. Water Pollution 2020: Some Bad News, Some Good News to Ponder

It has been a fact that the state of Selangor has been having too many water disruptions and despite the offenders have been identified and punished, it has not been the end of the trouble for the consumers in this state. The matter has been talked about for far too long but there seems to be no proper closure to this man-made incidents.

If you have not been keeping up with the news from Malaysia, a few days ago, major contamination caused the shutdown of 4 water treatment plants causing water disruption to almost 1.2 million users. This is nothing new if you ask as we have been having water disruptions due to polluters for some time now.
