Car DIY 101: A Beaten Up Viva Bumper

Viva culprit

(The innocent looking fellow down there is the culprit for the damaged – sorry, in reality I was the culprit but that fellow did considerable )

The second car in the house have been my trusted workhorse for her to go to the market, clinic and sometimes to her sisters’ house whilst I am at work. It becomes even more critical whenever I am away overseas. On the weekends, I often use it to go to the nearby shop – namely because I am lazy to take out my car and it is easier to park the smaller car.

(For proper roadwork, the right way to do a patch for potholes – instead of covering only the hole, cut a bigger area and patch in the right way and follow up on the patchwork. How many times you have seen this in the Bolehland? Image source: http://www.gallagherpaving.com)

Governance 101: Deploying AES Lawfully, Start Asking the Right Questions!

AES

(It’s about time – a simple flow on how the AES – Automated Enforcement System works. It covers speeding & beating the red light offences but what about other types of offences like road hogging, cutting in and out of traffic without any proper indication, riding around without wearing any helmet? When we can have a similar automated enforcement system for it? Image source: http://www.skyscrapercity.com / TheStar)

Motorcyclists

(As I said before, it does not matter if a motorcyclist is riding a 50cc bike or a 1500 cc bike. When the motorcyclist fall, the head and skin suffer the same. No matter what one rides, proper riding attire is a must. Image source: http://www.ridesafebacksafe.co.uk)

Overseas Assignment 2012: Part 1 – Trip to Modern Oriental Paris & Start of the Trip

oriental paris shanghai trip flight

(The flight was full but I was looking forward to the trip with a good selection of on-demand movies to kill the time. MAS’ inflight service and food was tip-top as usual, something that holds an edge over other airlines)

Enforcement 101: Ops Sikap, Authorities Should Be Blamed Too 2

mat rempit enforcement menace motorcyclist skinning ops sikap

(What we need in Ops Sikap is more stringent enforcement instead of just enforcement – it is high time the police get tough with hardcore traffic law abusers. Image source: http://lagunamerbok.blogspot.com)

Update: I guess it is unfair to point the fingers at the alone although they do handle the bulk of the since there are other agencies involved namely who handle licensing & training and JKJR who handle the overall coordination and road -related activities

Enforcement 101: Ops Sikap, Authorities Should Be Blamed Too

(One reason why we need to enforce Ops Sikap – it looks like a plague, idiots on the road without helmet creating a nuisance and endangering others and the worse ones even have young kids on the motorcycle. Image source: http://drhanie.blogspot.com/)

Enforcement 101: Dumb Motorcyclists, Skinning Them Alive

mat rempit enforcement menace motorcyclist skinning

(The problem with some is that they think that they are invincible especially when they are not wearing any helmets. Initially, I felt the same way too but I recognize that it was nothing but a mirage – unlike those , you have nothing to protect you from serious injuries. That is why I always ride sensibly and with a good measure of protection – proper jacket, gloves and and abiding all the time. Image source: Perak Today)

Know Your Car Basics 101: Looking for the Best Car Service Center?

(The last thing you expect to see in a car service centre. Image source: Pinterest)

It is heartening to hear that has come up with a 60 minutes express service but in my opinion, they should have done this a long time ago.

Sending your car for car service can be a sticky thing. When you buy a new car and if you think the car as something that gets you from A to B, you probably will not be so worried of sending your car for the periodic service (some of you may even get your dad or brother to send the car for service on your behalf).
