I have heard about Johnny Cash but never bothered to listen to his songs – I guess it is an oldie for me but the movie “Walk the Line” changed my whole perception about the man and the music from the ’60s onwards.

In 2005, Paul Haggis’ movie screenplay titled “Million Dollar Baby” won an Oscar for Best Picture for 2004
Then in 2006, Paul Haggis’ movie screenplay titled “Crash” won an Oscar for Best Picture for 2005. The movie was also nominated for Best Director (Paul Haggis), Best Editing, Best Original Score, Best Screenplay (Paul Haggis & Robert Moresco) and Best Supporting Actor. In the end, it won 3 out of the 6 Oscar nominations.

Having nothing much to do on a Monday afternoon (ya, I was on leave), I decided to catch a movie. Any movie would do – I and my wife did not have any preference since it has been some time since we last stepped into a cinema. We did not plan to see a particular movie. All we wanted to do to catch the earliest movie that we could see and leave.
