A blood pressure machine, also known as a sphygmomanometer, is a device that measures the pressure of the blood in an artery and is a must-have device if you have hypertension. The cuff squeezes the artery and stops the blood flow. Then, the air is slowly released from the cuff by a valve until the blood starts flowing again.
