I caught this excellent documentary by Simonka de Jong, a 49 years old Dutch filmmaker based in Amsterdam, Netherlands on Youtube the other day. A few days ago, a Facebook page called “DashCam Owners Malaysia” for obvious reasons uploaded an accident video that shows a lady motorcyclist casually crossing several lanes without even looking to her right for the on-coming traffic.
Rightfully and deservingly she was hit by a car causing her to fly and fall in front of the car. See the grab shots from the video – it is clear that she is in great pain after the accident but most of the commentators on Facebook agreed that she well deserved it.

With Netflix as our main source of entertainment these days, one of the favourite series among others has been The Crown which portrays the life of Queen Elizabeth II from her wedding in the 1940s until the 1990s and some key moments in history including the Aberfan disaster. Although one accepts that considering it is TV series, some of the events that have happened would have been heavily dramatized. It however does shows the tension and stress that the royalties, namely Prince Phillip and Prince Charles in light of the standing of the Queen.

Happy belated Valentine’s Day.
Frankly speaking, I don’t send roses on Valentine for 2 main reasons and it has nothing to do with PAS Youth’s call to boycott Valentine’s Day. 2 reasons – 1. Expression of love should not be confined to one particular day of the year and 2. Price of roses on Valentine’s Day is insanely expensive (unless you have your own rose garden).
