Taking place just after World War 2 and judged by the victors, there was a question if these accused were judged on grounds of legality or on the issue of morality. The Nuremberg Trials was a series of 13 trials that took place in Nuremberg, Germany, between 1945 and 1949. Gandhi – I recall “meeting” him for the first time in my grandpa’s house back in the 70s. He was up on the wall with a golden frame. My grandpa must have had the greatest respect for this old man with frame spectacles. At my age then, I use to think that the old man in the photo was my great, great grandfather.

This World War 2 plaque in the centre of the Morib beach states the 46th Indian Beach Group landed in Morib on 9 Sept 1945 and handled 42,651 personnel, 3,968 vehicles and 11,224 tons of stores. It was reported that it took four days them to reach Kuala Lumpur as there was fierce resistance from the Japanese Army.
