Lockdown in Malaysia 2021: Not A Big Surprise, MCO 2.0 Was Highly Expected

On 11th January 2021, the Prime Minister announced a stricter movement control order (MCO) for 6 states namely Wilayah and Selangor which encompasses ban on inter-state and inter-district. And a day after the MCO was announced and was due to take place, Malaysia recorded the highest number of COVID19 cases at 3,309 cases (on 14th, we set a new record with 3,337 new cases and 15 deaths). It is has been a long weekend for me. We managed to get some outstanding things done during the holidays but it comes at a price – body aching and foot pain. It gets worse once I reached the office, only to find urgent things to be done in the next 2 days and a meeting scheduled at night in KL.

Certainly, this is not the way to start the week.

Time Out!

I am finally taking my Deeparaya leave on Monday till Wednesday, driving up to one and only Taiping. There will not be any blog from me during this time but it gives me a good chance to be away from a computer for once (I am already spending like 8 hours in front of a computer at my work place everyday).
