What if?

This is what The Star reported, couple of days ago:-

Dream on, Najib tells Opposition.

SHAH ALAM: Opposition parties are deluding themselves if they think they can wrest more seats in the next general election, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said. Najib said the rakyat had seen Barisan Nasional’s good track record and were confident with their representatives.

“PAS can go on announcing they can win more seats but it is in fact not within their reach. With the election fever, all sorts of statements will be issued, but for the opposition, it is self-delusion,” he added.

“Our representatives are with the people. Grassroots support is there and Barisan Nasional has brought development and even ensured basic amenities are met in all areas,” he said.

On Thursday, Malay daily said PAS vice-president Datuk Husam Musa told reporters in Kota Baru that PAS was aiming to sweep at least 40 parliamentary seats in the next general election to strengthen the party’s position in the Dewan Rakyat.

Najib said opposition parties must realize that Barisan had been bringing progress to the nation and people since independence.

But what we would rather like to read in the newspapers is this:-

Dream on, Najib tells Barisan Nasional.

SHAH ALAM: The ruling party is deluding themselves if they think they can wrest more seats in the next general election, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said. Najib said the rakyat had seen Barisan Nasional’s bad record of accomplishment and were confident that the rakyat had enough of the cheating that been going on by their representatives.

“BN can go on announcing they can win more seats but it is in fact not within their reach. With the election fever, all sorts of statements will be issued, but for the BN, it is self-delusion,” he added. “Our representatives are not with the people. Grassroots support is not there anymore and Barisan Nasional has brought personal gains to party members in the name of development, causing a dire lack of basic amenities in most areas,” he said.

On Thursday, Malay daily said BN chairman Pak Lah told reporters in Kota Baru that BN was aiming for a zero opposition parliamentary seats in the next general election to fully “conquer” the Dewan Rakyat.

Najib said BN parties must realize that the Barisan had not been doing the job well lately – failed to tackle corruption, failed to address religion extremist acts and failed to work on a united nation and people since independence.

Less of BN blowing it’s own trumpet on how easy to get the vote from Malaysians. A 50th year anniversary wish list but never say that it is not possible.
