Money for Schools

Here’s why we don’t trust the politicians to handle our future…

Well, just contrast these reports on the same day:-

The Johor government will build 122 more religious schools which are estimated to cost about RM200mil.

“They will be completed within the next two years,” Mentri Besar Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman said.

Subsidy Gone But…Part 3

Read the Part 1 and Part 2

This is the exact sentiment on the “ground”:-

If subsidies are removed, there will be more money for the government to distribute to its ‘goons’, says a Malaysian

This is because there are too many “leeches” still have their money sucking mouth attached to the Government of the day.… [Click to read the rest] “Subsidy Gone But…Part 3”

Kali Mints

kali

(This is certainly insensitive to the Hindus around the world but in the western world, where there is freedom of expression and speech, being insensitive is not that too surprising)

From the website:-

Kali is a Hindu goddess that represents death, destruction, time and change. And what food comes to mind when you think of death, destruction, time and change?

Subsidy Gone But…Part 2

Read the earlier post here

(More subsidy for the “one of the most profitable” budget airline in the world but less for the people under the Government’s economic masterplan? Image source: http://www.theage.com.au)

OutSyed The Box further reveals:-

So Air Asia is getting a subsidy – for another five years. But Idris just said that subsidies are going to be removed.

National Security 101: African Menace in Puchong

africa

(I spent more than 5 months in West Africa – culturally it is very challenging but interesting. In the same manner, foreigners in Malaysia need to adapt to the local culture and respect the law too. When that does not happen, we have a problem. A member of a scam syndicate caught operating in the country – image source: The Coverage)

I don’t support racial profiling and negative profiling on any race is even worse but after recent “close” encounters with some of the Africans in Puchong over the weekend, I think it is high time that the growing number of “students” from African & Middle East countries need to be closely monitored.… [Click to read the rest] “National Security 101: African Menace in Puchong”

Malaysians in Gaza Incident

I really wonder why we are involved in the first place…

(The flotilla of six ships, including the Turkish ferry Mavi Marmara, was on its way from Cyprus to Gaza carrying supplies including cement, paper and water purification tablets that was intercepted by the Israelis. Image source: BBC)

Let’s get something right first – it is a fact that Malaysia does not formally recognise Israel.… [Click to read the rest] “Malaysians in Gaza Incident”

Greatest Mystery of All

This one is for the guys…

(One of the best tries to date but the truth is men and women are from 2 different planets, on different time zones, different school of thoughts. Image source: http://andlooking.wordpress.com)

You probably have this joke (or a variation of it):-

A man walking along a California beach was deep in prayer when all of a sudden he said aloud, “Lord grant me one wish”.

Coiled Springs

It was a close call a couple days ago…

We decided to go out for lunch and since there were just 3 of us, we decided to take my car instead of the usual ride – my buddy’s more robust and heavy duty Toyota Unser. Just when I drive away from the parking lot, I heard a “thud, thud, thud” sound coming from the wheel base.… [Click to read the rest] “Coiled Springs”

Largest Oil Spill

Photo caption: A May 17, 2010 satellite image provided by NASA shows a large patch of oil visible near the site of the Deepwater oil spill, and a long ribbon of oil stretched far to the southeast. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said Wednesday that a small portion of the slick had entered the so-called loop current, a stream of fast moving water that circulates around the Gulf before bending around Florida and up the Atlantic coast.… [Click to read the rest] “Largest Oil Spill”

Subsidy Gone But…

We seriously need a divine’s help on this…

(How the Government’s financial management is going to affect us, the people, in the long run. Image source: http://www.themalaysianinsider.com/)

A long, long time ago, when the petrol price was increased, one “work-with-me” PM vowed to use the RM4 billion saved on petrol subsidies on the development of public transportation.… [Click to read the rest] “Subsidy Gone But…”
