It was reported in TheStar back in February 2021 that Petronas had contributed almost RM1.2 trillion since 1976 to the national budget income. In Budget 2020, the Government projected a one-off special dividend of RM30 billion from Petronas which represented 10% of the overall RM297 billion income. The question is how long Petronas can continue to contribute significantly to the national budget? Source: Petronas
Anything to do with economy, budget, taxpayers money and trade
Continuing with the best things that I have bought online, one of the best things that unfortunately did not last long is cheap China-made smartphones and smartphone covers.
One of the fine examples is Leagoo M8 smartphone which I bought online for RM263.20 and that was for a kill considering the phone’s specifications. In the end, I had to replace this phone as it got outdated and it had problems with the screen sensors. Image source: Mesramobile
My first experience with online shopping dates back to the year 2013 with me purchasing cheap phone accessories from IPMart and this was way before online shopping was the norm. Back then shopping at Lazada or Shopee was something totally new and there were not many options available. Fast forward to 2021, it is a totally different story. Infographic source: Midec / Exabytes
