Beast Vijay Tamil Movie Review

The Vijay acted movie, Beast was so bad that I did not have the interest to write up a post until I read somewhere a Vijay diehard fan said those who said the movie was bad must be blind and another said entertainment is more important than logic. I first got hooked with Mickey J Meyer’s style of music composition with the Telugu movie, Kotha Bangaru Lokam which I discovered accidentally when I was searching for a Paiyaa Tamil movie song. I don’t understand Telugu but then the language of music is universal and thus found the Telugu song Nijangaa Nenena which was so refreshing that I started to dig further and created a personal Mickey J Meyer playlist. The 1985 Tamil movie, Muthal Mariyathai (which means the First Respect) was my late uncle’s favourite movie and he would be watching it at least once a day if he had time to watch the TV.

Well, it became one of my favourite Tamil movies as well. After all, in the hands of the great director, Bharathiraja and the acting prowess of the Nadigar Thilagam, Sivaji Ganesan, Muthal Mariyathai is indeed a great movie. Image source: The Hindu
