Know Your Car Basics 101: Mistakes Between Alignment & Balancing

Read These First:-

alignment and balancing

(Do you know the differences between alignment and ? It is not necessary that both need to be done at the same time but usually it is done as it is convenient for the mechanic and more income for the workshop. Image Source: https://tamages.blogspot.com)

I did one of the dumbest things when I was driving my early in the morning yesterday – I drove my car into a pothole even though I had plenty of space to avoid it. I will do a separate post on that as this has a long story on its own.

Anyway, I was at the car workshop to get a fix done when I saw a Honda SUV driven into the workshop. There were 2 guys – probably in the mid 30s – well dressed. They seemed to be young, successful executives. They got down and looked around, probably looking for the chief mechanic or the owner.

The mechanic, who was attending me, looked up and asked them what the problem was. One of the guys said that he wanted to do and balancing for his car and handed over the keys to this mechanic.

Year 2017: The Day I Became Car Wash Centre Worker

car wash

(This is probably the worst wash ever. But the true horror is seeing your loved vehicles being man-handled at the centres and being blasted with cheap detergents & shampoos that can rust the car body and wash half done properly and you still need to pay for it. This was one thing that we decided not to do when and if we decided to open our own car wash centre)

It has been cats and dogs lately…

It was raining heavily when I went to work one fine morning – I predicted an increased jam due to the rain and a couple of morons and changing lane without any indicators during the heavy rain. I switched on the wipers and immediately I noticed something not right. It was squeaking and as the wipers go up and down, it started to bend considerably.

2016

(Close your eyes and think for a second – are we doing the right things? Are we saying the right things? Are we putting ourselves in others shoes? Image source: http://www.coolnsmart.com)

The year 2016 came to a close with a bang – an !!

Couple of days before the end of 2016, on my last working day for the year, I got up as usual at about 6.45 am (because of school holidays) and at about 7.30 am, I left the house with a relaxed mind. The roads were clear and I was looking forward on the long holidays for the and thereafter. My son had orientation day on the last day of the year and I was looking forward to that as well.

Enforcement 101: Dashcam, Another Great Source for Strict Enforcement

Dashcams are nowadays an essential part of the vehicle these days. Image source: Wikipedia

Let’s start with an interesting video that shows a lack of enforcement:-

The above dashcam video, whilst may seem impressive demonstrates how some morons rather endanger other road users so that they can have cheap thrills on the road. Why they can’t book the racing track for a day and burn rubbers to their heart’s content?

Event Recalled 2016: When the Car Monkeyed Around In the Year of the Monkey

(One good way to damage the sidewalls but modern tires is designed to absorb such sudden shocks. Image source: https://carfromjapan.com/)

Last month – on the month of the – had proved to be a rather very expensive month for me as an owner of a .

Firstly I accidentally scraped my left back against the kerb and caused a small portion of the tire sidewall to be sliced off. I know for a fact that whilst you can abuse the main tread and still drive safely, the same cannot be said for the . And it was painful because the tire was still new – barely a year since I last changed it. I took it to 2 different tire shops – the first one looked at it and said it was nothing to worry.

Before I start, I was not meaning “listen” in this sense

Couple weeks ago, we suppose to make a trip to Kuantan to visit an elderly aunty who was not feeling well. And to ensure we don’t inconvenient the relatives (who I know don’t have much space in their house), I even booked hotel rooms for the family.

Ending The Year 2014 On A Positive Note!

2014 najib golf

(Not everyone can be the PM – very, very hard at “work” overseas in 2014. Some had said that there is nothing wrong for a leader to take a break. Well, that is correct but not when the country is seeing one of the worst floods around. The big mamma still on holiday, its so seems – no one had seen her wading through the high water in downtown Kota Bahru. Image source)

NAP 2014: Talk of Cheap Cars Again

Cars

(The hard cold facts of EEVs cars – have we considered the pros and cons of using EEVs? After all, the buzz word of 2014 is EEV which is not a bad thing if you ask me and holds many benefits, both for the industry, consumer and the environment. But the thing is, will we put the right effort on implementing what we have planned and deliver cheaper in the end? Image source: https://tech.co)
