Boycott Malaysia 2019: Understand Outbursts On Article 370

India’s removal of special status under to & sparked protests namely from Pakistan and somehow by a weird sequence of events (maybe the stars were not lined properly), also led to a call to boycott Malaysian’s services & goods by Indians who were not happy with Dr M’s speech in UN. It gets worse:-

The head of Pakistan-administered Kashmir has warned that a deteriorating situation along and across the disputed border with India had the potential to escalate into a nuclear conflict that could reshape the world as we know it.

(Source)

It is estimated that both India and Pakistan have about 150 nuclear warheads each and they have gone war with each 4 times (1947, 1965, 1971 & 1999) since separation. So it is a great concern when talks of escalation and use of nuclear arsenal is widely spoken since Article 370 removal was done.

Childhood Memories: Part 00 – Demise of the Indian Barber Shop

Indian Barber

Don’t think any Malaysians from my generation had not been to an in the neighbourhood. Image (Source)

My first experience of going to a barber was back in the old neighbourhood where the barber was actually the neighbour who lived in the same row of houses like us. Being a good friend of my dad, he often cut our hair as short as possible even though we tried our best to get him to cut in the latest styles.

Leadership 101: MH370 – A Lesson in Crisis Management

– frankly speaking, the last thing we need now is a missing plane…

mh370

(I had to pinch myself when I first heard about the missing plane. I flew MAS on a regular basis and I prefer flying on a Boeing 777 than Airbus. Having a missing plane was something that all Malaysian did not expect to hear on a Saturday morning. The disappearance remains a mystery and a multi-country search to date have revealed nothing to date. Image source: http://engtechmag.wordpress.com)

Old Photos – Part 3

Before we proceed with this week’s short post, there are 3 things I wanted to say aloud.

First is Waytha, after the hunger strike stunt that he pulled before the elections and got his MOU with had now resigned – he rightfully deserved it, if you ask me. The way to go is to stop fighting for rights and benefits based on racial lines and do so more on poverty lines so that all races in this country will fairly benefit from it.… [Click to read the rest] “Old Photos – Part 3”

(Here’s one fine example of “instead of giving priority to the minorities, just concentrate on the majority”, courtesy of the – never forget one’s history even if it took place thousand years ago when “ketuanan” thing was almost non-existence and traders, preachers and intellectuals from every great civilizations made this country their home and trading port. Childhood Memories: Part 26 – Deepavali Gathering At Grandma’s House

Read the whole series here

deepavali childhood murukku

(No is ever complete without the crunchy murukkus – I am sure everyone agrees on that. The photo was taken on Deepavali last year)

Certainly, Deepavali was not like how it used to be back those days, somehow some things have changed, don’t you think so? Perhaps it is because we have grown up and life has gotten slightly more complicated or perhaps large family gathering getting out of fashion these days, I don’t know.

bicycle

(Long before mountain bicycles, you still remember the BMX madness in the 1990s? Back then I did not know BMX stood for bicycle motocross, instead, I thought it was a brand. I think there should be a rule that all kids should be able to ride a bicycle at least one point of childhood life. Image source: http://bicyclensw.org.au)

World Affairs 101: Syrian War – Can Never Trust Them, Eh?

Syria

(We all seriously hope has a concrete financial plan for the country when it comes to empowerment of its people and the economy and not doing for the sake of his own political survival in the upcoming political party elections. As taxpayers, no one wants to see their hard-earned money down the toilet on short-sighted financial plans. Image source: www.antaranews.com)

Sorry for starting with something “international” this week – ‘s political circus show hardly makes a dent on the front pages at where I am now.
