The was actually the main landmark on the main old road between the city of Kuala Lumpur and the port town of Klang. We often refer to the petrol station when someone wants to come to our house in the old . It is directly on the opposite side of the neighbourhood. It was a big station those days but it has now somehow reduced in size. It is however still at the same place since the day we moved into this neighbourhood more than 40 years ago. The other day, I took my son with me to pump petrol at the SHELL .

As I was pumping the petrol, I heard a tap on the window from inside the . I looked over and saw my son pointing at something on the wall. He made a gesture for me to look at what he was pointing at. I followed his finger and saw a poster of SHELL’s Ferrari car collection. They had different models and colours of sleek sports cars. He rolled down the window and said “Daddy, I want the yellow one”. He sounded so excited and hopeful. I smiled and said “Maybe one day, son. Maybe one day”.
