(The is equal to all – in other words, there is no one above the law so the application of the law to anyone would need to be the same. But in reality, there seems to be some inequality when it comes to enforcing the law. Image source: Facebook) 

The problem with some politicians in the country is that once they have broken a law, instead of accepting that they have knowingly or unknowingly broken the law and apologising and taking the punishment under the law, they lie and try to cover it up with dumb excuses. This despite the SOP provided by the Ministry of Health is crystal clear on the matter.

Outbreak 2020: Novel Coronavirus Situation As At 13th February 2020

There has been a huge spike in in recent days. The 2019-nCoV virus (now known as COVID-19) situation as at 13th February 2020: 1,489 dead, 6,984 recovered and 64,268 confirmed cases. Since 8th February 2020, the number of deaths has increased by another 675 deaths.

Compared to 8th February 2020, the fatality rate as of 13th February 2020 had increased from 2.17% to 2.32% but the recovery rate had improved from 7.77% to 10.87%. The number of confirmed cases in unfortunately had also increased from 16 cases to 19 confirmed cases but without any fatality (Singapore also saw an increase from 40 to 58 cases todate). Outbreak 2020: Novel Coronavirus Situation As At 3rd February 2020

The 2019-nCoV situation as of 3rd February 2020: 426 dead, 623 recovered and 19,881 confirmed cases. Since 31st January 2020, the number of deaths has increased by another 167 deaths.

Compared to 31st January 2020, the fatality rate as of 3rd February 2020 had reduced from 2.28% to 2.14% whilst there has a good improvement in the recovery rate from 2.22% to 3.13%. Health 101: H1N1 Virus, 50 and counting

As at todate, 44,287 cases have been reported all over the world with 180 deaths – the bulk coming from Mexico: 113, US: 44 and Canada: 12 deaths.

has finally hit 50 confirmed case last week and one can rest assured that it is not going to be the last case. The last reported case was a student in SRJKC – Jalan Davidson in Kuala Lumpur and the authorities have closed the school for a week.
