What Malaysian Astronauts Can Do in Space?

.
This is great. We finally have short listed couple of Malaysians to be blasted off to space. They were celebrated in big way yesterday. The DPM out of the blue assured the Malaysians that the Government is not spending a single cent on the space programme as it is part of the package when we bought the Sukhoi jet fighters (those who can think may ask DPM whether this meant the Government paid more, upfront, for the jets but that besides the point right?)

Changing Clothes Again

.
Update: The new template is great but there are some bugs to the code and as Yvy mentioned in the comments, the side bar need to be trimmed. So, the old template is back until I have the time to check the codes and change the background picture.
.
There comes a time when you open your blog early in the morning, stare at the screen for 5 minutes and then tell yourself “Man, this blog template is getting boring”.

Economy 101: 30 Cents Fuel Price Increase – Time to Boycott Some Restaurants

restaurant price increase

When the announcement on the fuel price was made, the Indian Restaurant near my work place lost not time increasing the food prices.

It hit me hard when I returned to Malaysia and found the plain mee goreng at my favorite mamak joint has gone up by 20 cents at the stroke of midnight!… [Click to read the rest] “What’s with the 30 cents increase?”

Working Late Again

.
It was Day 13 in Bangkok (read further what I meant by “was”)

I was typing this at…hold on (checking the clock at the office wall)…2.00 in the morning. There are about 10 of us here (including the security guard who looks a bit surprised at the high number of half-asleep Malaysians at this time of the hour), holed up in the office as we are preparing to cut to live the system that is being implemented.

The visit to flea market in Chatuchak

A visit to Bangkok is not complete without a trip to the famous flea market in Chatuchak. So, when we had the day off on last Sunday, our immediate plan was to go to Chatuchak. We took the taxi to Silom Road, made a short trip to Bangkok Bank’s Foreign Currency counter (opened 7 days a week) to exchange for some Thai Bahts and walked to the nearest BTS station at Sala Daeng.… [Click to read the rest] “The visit to flea market in Chatuchak”

Sweet Bangkok Taxi

Day 8 in BangkokYou may have heard of Hanzel & Gretel story but have you ever wondered that a house made of sweets & candies can come in other forms too?

We saw one in Bangkok. We finished work late, dropped by KFC along the busy Silom Street (Bangkok’s equivalent to New York’s Wall Street) to “tapau” our dinner and flagged down a cab for the ride back to our hotel.
