RM100 isn’t much today

An interesting topic in The Star today and I must agree there that RM100 is indeed not much today but is it?

Now let’s see that again based on my daily expenses

A) When I was studying Law part time and working full time (almost 10 years ago)

Transportation: RM2.00 bus fare to and fro my house to KL (then I walk from the bus station to my work place, almost 5 kilometers away and walk again to the college – no wonder I was slim and very healthy then)

Food total: RM3.50 based on RM1.00 (“nasi lemak biasa” or 3 kari-puffs, either one for almost everyday!

History 101: Morib, The Deserted But Fun Beach

This World War 2 plaque in the centre of the Morib beach states the 46th Indian Beach Group landed in Morib on 9 Sept 1945 and handled 42,651 personnel, 3,968 vehicles and 11,224 tons of stores. It was reported that it took four days them to reach Kuala Lumpur as there was fierce resistance from the Japanese Army.

Blogging 101: Blogging Language – Important To Do It Correctly?

Normally, I have never bothered with the language in anyone’s blog. Why should I? It is not my blog and everyone has their right to determine how they want to express themselves. Admittedly even my own blog is not perfect. It has spelling errors; critical grammar mistakes and sometimes sentences that do not make any sense.

To minimise spelling mistakes and grammar errors, what I do is that I would first type it in an MS Word. Do the spelling and grammar checks before posting. Most of the time, it works but not all the time. Comic source: http://www.cgu.edu

One of my friends borrowed my digital camera for some function. When I saw what he took, I just shook my head. It was boring and sad to say, with no creativity at all.

Maybe he was new to the world of photography and still learning the highs and lows of taking a good picture. Even, I am still learning with my 3.2 MP Fuji (basic) camera and still have a long way to go before considering myself as a pro.

Saya masih ingat lagi semasa saya masih di alam persekolahan dulu. Saya dan rakan-rakan saya sememangnya menunggu hari tersebut. Maklumlah kita cuti sekolah. Apa lagi, kita pun membuat rancangan kita untuk bersiar-siar kat ibukota sebelah petang pada Hari Kemerdekaan.
