One of the main things during the lockdown that I never failed to do is to start up the car every 2 โ€“ 3 days and let the engine running for a few minutes. Sometimes I drive around the neighbourhood till the engine had warmed up enough for me to park it back at the house.

For grocery shopping, I often use my wife’s car instead of my car as it had more fuel than my car. Further, it is rarely used since schools have been shut down and we rarely have any excuse to use that car.

I did one of the dumbest things when I was my early in the morning yesterday โ€“ I drove my car into a pothole even though I had plenty of space to avoid it. I will do a separate post on that as this has a long story on its own.

Anyway, I was at the car workshop to get a fix done when I saw a Honda SUV driven into the workshop. There were 2 guys โ€“ probably in the mid 30s โ€“ well dressed. They seemed to be young, successful executives. They got down and looked around, probably looking for the chief mechanic or the owner.

The mechanic, who was attending me, looked up and asked them what the problem was. One of the guys said that he wanted to do and balancing for his car and handed over the keys to this mechanic.

The other day, I took my son with me to pump petrol at the SHELL .

As I was pumping the petrol, I heard a tap on the window from inside the . I looked over and saw my son pointing at something on the wall. He made a gesture for me to look at what he was pointing at. I followed his finger and saw a poster of SHELL’s Ferrari car collection. They had different models and colours of sleek sports . He rolled down the window and said “Daddy, I want the yellow one”. He sounded so excited and hopeful. I smiled and said “Maybe one day, son. Maybe one day”.
