Outbreak 2020: Possible Virus Surge in Pakistan from Tablighi Jamaat Gathering

Tablighi Jamaat

By the way, today is the first time since the lock down started & the 2nd wave from Tablighi Jamaat’s gathering in Malaysia, the active cases have started to reduce. Kudos to the highly dedicated medical team, all the front liners and ordinary Malaysians who despite the many hardships had observed the stay at home order.

There was 236 recovery cases as compared to new infection of 131 cases making for the first time, the number of active cases to reduce from 2,596 to 2,490 cases. It is a small improvement but it is in the right path – hopefully that this will continue to flatten and on a reducing trend. Graph source: Outbreak.MY

Outbreak 2020: Another Surge of Virus Infection from Tabligh Gathering

virus

This time, the surge of Covid-19 virus outbreak is in India and it is due tabligh gathering in New Delhi. It is now labelled as the biggest domestic source of the disease in the country. Doesn’t this sound very familiar? Infographic source: Hindustan Times

It is the same pattern that is emerging from the tabligh gathering in Malaysia. And Indonesia would have similar nightmare had they allowed the tabligh gathering in Sulawesi Island to continue. Thankfully although they were insisting to proceed initially, the organisers and the participants saw the wisdom of cancelling the event especially after the surge of infections in Malaysia.

Boycott Malaysia 2019 – Understanding the Jammu & Kashmir’s Bloody History First

As you all may be aware, there is a call for a massive boycott of Malaysian tourism, products and services dubbed #BoycottMalaysia trending on Twitter.

Apparently this started when PM Dr M spoke about Jammu & Kashmir in United Nations last week and probably the stinging part of his call for diplomacy between India and Pakistan would be these words – “the country has been invaded and occupied”.

Space 101: Next Stop, The Illusive Red Planet?

YouTube player

Are we on target to visit the Red Planet? Given the state of the country as at now, you can safely say that when we celebrate the year 2020, this country would not have achieved the status of a “developed country”. So Dr M’s Vision 2020 will remain a vision and will not become a reality, at least in 2020.

For one, religion had taken precedent in key areas of the country and have caused a mismatch of priorities. Instead of us busy with human resource development and preparing the country for a “developed” status, we are busy on which law to use and how holy or religious one must be.

Tamil Movie Review: Why 3 Idiots 2009 is Better Than Nanban 2012?

It supposes to be a quick post on Shankar’s Nanban but I ended up writing more especially after yesterday I watched again the well made 3 Idiots

nanban

(The guy on the far right – your right – seems better than the rest. Trust me, you will be safer watching the original 3 Idiots than the “new” idiots in Nanban – they are nowhere close to the beauty of story-telling and acting in 3 Idiots. Poster source: Indiaglitz)
