It is a fact that we cannot separate “crying scenes” from Tamil movies especially when you watch the old movies. but sometimes sadness can come in other forms as well especially when you have Kamal in the lead role.
I may have my “bad moments” with Tamil movies (and worse ones are the Tamil Serials) but I have to admit that some Tamil movies or some scenes are simply gems. I talked about comedies in Tamil movies and coming to the other spectrum of comedy, this has to be one of my favourite sad moments from Tamil movies has to be this:-

Gandhi – I recall “meeting” him for the first time in my grandpa’s house back in the 70s. He was up on the wall with a golden frame. My grandpa must have had the greatest respect for this old man with frame spectacles. At my age then, I use to think that the old man in the photo was my great, great grandfather.
I guess there is no better way to start the year for my blog than blogging on something religious (or something close to that topic). Ya, you heard me right – “religious”
More so, after I almost got into a fight (or rather a fist fight) with an idiot who double parked at a very congested parking area on the 1st day of 2006.

I was watching the movie “Flavors” at Astro couple of days ago and I must say that it was a refreshing Indian Movie. Made entirely outside India, it was a story of Indian staying and working in US and showing different but inter-related sub stories.
